Wetumpka Chamber of Commerce - Real Haunts in Wetumpka AL
- 110 E Bridge Street
- Wetumpka, AL
- 334-567-4811
Built in 1910 and originally used as the town bank, the Wetumpka Chamber of Commerce offices are a short distance from the old Wetumpka Mortuary. Like the haunted mortuary, there have been reports of ghostly happenings at the Chamber of Commerce, including sounds of ghostly voices and disembodied voices. One incident involved what sounded like a person being dragged through the upstairs corridor, and others include furniture moving about the third floor or doors and windows opening and closing by themselves on the third floor. According to staff, the third floor has not been in use for decades. The basement is said to be haunted by an invisible ghost who will occasionally push visitors, and a shadowy apparition has been spotted on the main staircase.
