The Kate Shepard House was built in 1897 for the prominent Alabama educator for whom it is named. Over a century later it has been converted into a cozy Bed and Breakfast with three guest rooms to rest in and tasty meals to wake up to, but if you stay at the Kate Shepard House you may find another guest there with you! Visitors say they have seen the apparition of an elderly woman inside the historic building, and others have felt a strange presence while there.
